"Newport Wetlands National Nature Reserve is owned and managed by Natural Resources Wales and works in partnership with RSPB Cymru, Newport City Council, and others, for the benefit of wildlife and people.

Tucked between the city of Newport and the Severn Estuary, Newport Wetlands National Nature Reserve offers a haven for wildlife. Covering over 438 hectares from Uskmouth to Goldcliff, the reedbeds, saline lagoons, wet grassland, and scrub, attract a wealth of wetland birds."

WHAT THEIR PROBLEM WAS

"RSPB Newport Wetlands offer a free rental mobility scooter service to their visitors but the current scooters they offer were old and worn out. It had come time to reinvest in making sure that the National Nature Reserve stays accessible to everyone by upgrading its current fleet.

Previously they had 3 Kymco Maxi’s that had been running strong for 10 years transporting people through the park’s rough terrain and battling the weather conditions throughout the years they had stood the test of time."

The Kymco Maxi XLS is an 8mph scooter that offers you the ultimate high performance, making the rough terrain comfortable. The full suspension system ensures smooth travel over indoor and outdoor surfaces making them the perfect companion to explore the trails of the nature reserve.

To make sure that RSPB Newport Wetlands got the family service we personally set out on an 8 hour round trip to hand-deliver them. So, we could guarantee that they came on time, and safe, and like on all the mobility aids we were able to provide introductory training on how to get the best possible use out of your scooter and how to use them safely."
